Hello, i’ve wanted to learn to wire-wrap for so long now, & have just started looking up video’s on YouTube. I saw that 20 G & 21 G are ideal for beginners, just like me! Although, i haven’t seen 21 G at any merchant’s.
I don’t quite understand when the bead wire is listed as half-hard, square, coated (with what?), dead soft, bare phosphur,….
What would you suggest to just start out with? I’ve heard that it takes quite a long time with great amount of practice, to really get good at the designs, with clean work…(about 2 yrs). I’m so willing to put the time into this Artistic form of jewelry making. I have to start somewhere & the time is NOW!
Many thanks for any suggestions,
Kimberly Buckley
